The Learning platform for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage supports capacity building by providing materials that address various aspects of the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. It aims to reach a wide range of actors and stakeholders involved at different levels in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, such as government officials, community or NGO members, culture and heritage professionals, teachers, and facilitators of the global capacity-building programme of the 2003 Convention. To adapt to diverse cultural contexts and needs, some courses are self-paced, while others are available as facilitator resources.
